		<description>You can buy an IR filter (such as the Hoya R72) at most camera shops.  As for size, it depends on the size of the threads of the lens adapter that you're using.  Most of these are either 52mm or 37mm.</description>

Where do you buy the IR filter from? Which size (52mm?)

Clipping the filter on after prefocussing (maybe use manual focus to save you holding the shutter half way for all that time and get round the need to grow a spare pair of hands)</description>
